One of the most common operations in any organization is managing finances, organisations earn money and spend money on a day to day basis and it is imperative to keep track of the humongous amount of transactions that happen every day. The module of SAP that offers to streamline this line of functions is called SAP FI. It is one of the most widely used modules of SAP and has customers worldwide ranging from very small businesses to giant corporations.

SAP is clearly the most widely implemented financial software, which is utilized by innumerable organization in the domains of sales, procurement, banking, asset management, inventory management etc. One of the core modules of SAP is FI, as any organization would require financial solution for its operations. So, if an organization has decided to implement SAP, its almost always the case that the FI module is implemented on a priority basis. FI implementation is also one of the biggest money churners for IT services companies. He/she has to work with the ABAP developers and end users to analyse the business requirements and keep updating the SAP. It is imperative to have very strong communication and management skills since a professional in this line needs to communicate with the developers and stakeholders on a day to day basis.
A FI consultant is hired to implement SAP on the client business.
Implementation of SAP demands thorough understanding of the business operations, the integration points, the various technologies already in place and the domain expertise. The Sales and Distribution module caters to the business processes associated with customer order fulfilment. SD has several components offering diverse functionality. For example, there are components for pricing (which control how prices and costs are determined in a sales transaction), availability check (that control how product stocks are allocated to orders from various customers), and credit management (that check the credit worthiness of the customer before a transaction is permitted). Again, you have to select which processes are applicable to you. In an integrated system, each application has to mesh with other related applications to ensure continuity and consistency. This is one of the strong points of the SD module.

PM MODULE

(PM) PLANT MAINTEANCE SAP TRAINING COURSE OUTLINE
If you are an engineer or have a science degree and work with oil and gas or any energy organisation then this module is for you As a SAP PM consultant you will be responsible for working on various client sites, where you will have the opportunity to work on some of the best projects within the market, in some of the most developed SAP site.

The SAP PM module is able to plan and manage scheduled, proactive, maintenance procedures designed to prevent, or predict, breakdowns to critical systems, which can be costly not only in terms of repair, but also in terms of lost production. In difficult, demanding industries, such as the oil production industry, the SAP PM module can increase the availability of the multitude of pumps, valves and other equipment that constitute an oil drilling platform.

The SAP PM module also allows maintenance organizations to identify and rectify problems with any of the equipment under their control, whether they’re cause by complete failure or deterioration over time. The SAP PM module automatically pinpoints the exact location of faulty equipment and generates a detailed maintenance order, including any necessary specifications, engineering drawings and safety precautions. All of these details are critically important because if any of them are missing maintenance may not be possible, potentially halting production or endangering lives or both.

One of the major benefits of the SAP PM module is that it allows plant maintenance to be broken down into various levels, at both the planning and performance stages. The SAP PM module obviously permits individual, independent equipment, such as vehicles, to be maintained independently, but also permits other types of equipment, such as a production line -- which consist of several pieces of interdependent equipment -- to be maintained as a “functional location,” rather than a collection of independent components.

Overall, the SAP PM module allows plant maintenance businesses and functions to be standardised across an organisation and integrated with other functions.
